Return Policy

Blue Heron Battery LLC will accept returns if made within 30 days of delivery of the battery to you.  This offer is only good if the battery is returned in its original packaging and applies only to the original purchaser.  You will receive a full refund if the battery is found on return to Blue Heron Battery LLC to not have been abused or opened, has not been subject to unauthorized repairs, and has not been damaged in shipping.  Any refund amount that is due will be sent by check via US Mail, and mailed within 7 days of receipt of the returned battery.

Blue Heron 10-year Warranty

Blue Heron Battery LLC (Blue Heron) offers a world class 10-year warranty on its products. We are proud of the design excellence, manufacturing quality, and technical support of our team, and reflect that with an outstanding warranty. This warranty applies to the original Owner/Purchaser for the Blue Heron labelled battery they purchased, and it covers defects in materials and workmanship, as detailed below.

If a Blue Heron labelled battery exhibits defects in materials or workmanship such that the battery fails to provide at least 40% of its rated capacity when charged, has been subjected to only normal wear, was not subjected to any of the exclusions below, and is less than 10 years since purchase, then the following steps will be taken by Blue Heron Battery:

  • Up to 8 years from date of purchase - repair or replacement of battery (at Blue Heron’s exclusive discretion)

  • If from 8 to 10 years from date of purchase - Owner will receive 30% credit toward purchase of a replacement battery.

These warranty provisions will not apply if the battery was subjected to any of the following: modified, opened, or repair attempted by anyone other than Blue Heron Battery: abused or physically damaged; subjected to repeated excessive charging; or subjected to repeated short-circuiting.

Rated battery cycles are from standard performance testing, but actual cycles may be many more or in some cases less, depending on actual conditions and how the battery is used.  Battery cycles are thus not a warranted performance parameter.

Blue Heron will not be liable for consequential damage resulting from a battery failure, abuse, or accidental behavior.  Blue Heron’s extent of liability will be limited to the original purchase price of the battery in question.

For a Battery Warranty Claim: Contact the Blue Heron Support Team support@blueheronbattery.com and obtain an RMA (Return Material Authorization). Items submitted without an RMA will not be processed for warranty support. The Owner is responsible for shipping charges to return the battery to Blue Heron. If the Owner has not retained their original packaging, Blue Heron Battery will send packaging and label for the return shipment.  Proof of Purchase is required to be submitted with the battery.

For electronics, battery chargers, inverters, battery monitors, regulators and other supporting equipment purchased from Blue Heron Battery, the warranty by the original manufacturer shall apply, and Purchaser will contact original manufacturer for warranty support.
