SUMMARY

Our Blue Heron Lithium batteries last longer and cost less than AGM or other lead acid batteries.  Our 300Ah Drop-In with heater matches the standard Group 8D battery size, but with more useable power, and less cost over time. Charger settings will need to be changed; contact out Tech Support Group for any questions.  This battery weighs only 92 lbs, can accept a high charge rate, and has a built-in, matched, SMART BMS system to ensure protection of the battery, safety and extended life. And Bluetooth access supports monitoring of key parameters.

LiFePO4 is the safe lithium, with resistance to ignition.  It is not susceptible to the hazards of lithium-ion batteries like those in cell phones, portable computers, or similar high-energy density applications.  Our factory uses state of the art slitting procedures and assembly techniques for cathode and anode preparation, and we use only Grade A prismatic cells in our Drop-In and Modular series batteries to ensure better deep cycle operation, longer life-cycles and reliability. Collectively, these features set us apart.

Our built-in heater film in this 300Ah battery operates off battery-charger energy and not battery energy. If battery temperature is below 0C (32F), the heating film automatically turns ON when charging is attempted. During heating, the BMS diverts charging current to only go to the heating film, with no current flowing to the battery cells. When battery temperature reaches above 10C (50F), the BMS turns OFF the heating film and starts charging current flow to the battery cells. During storage and discharging, the heating film is OFF and thus does not consume any battery power.
